  • To err on the side of caution, please wait at least 2 weeks before receiving a facial with me, unless your doctor/practitioner indicates otherwise. Please be mindful of the date of your recent procedure for documenting on your Intake Form. Certain procedures may require different wait times.

  • If you want more than just a relaxing treatment, but seek to achieve more lasting results, such as clearer skin, then a facial every 2 to 3 weeks may be in order.

If you are able to schedule a treatment once a month, thatʼs a great goal! We can discuss a protocol that works best for you. Like anything, repetition and dedication are key.

Your at-home skin care regimen also plays a vital role between treatments to maintain momentum in improving the health of your skin.

Diet and lifestyle choices make a difference in your skin, as well. Whether it goes in or on your body: whole, natural, minimally processed ingredients contribute to better results.

  • First and foremost, please inform us immediately of any and all major allergies and/or particular sensitivities you have so that we can be as properly prepared for your treatment as possible, & help make your experience a memorable one.

In addition, 24-48 hours before your facial, please do not do any form of exfoliation, including shaving or waxing; nor use Retin-A type creams, any topical medications, if possible, or any acid-based products (consult with your doctor if you have concerns).

Arriving with little-to-no makeup is preferred.

  • Recommendations:

    • Do not use any Retinol-based products for the next 24-48 hours.

    • Do not resume your exfoliation routine (such as scrubs or peels) for the next week.

    • Do not wax, shave or have laser hair removal within the next 24-48 hours.

    • No picking! We want to avoid spreading bacteria and scarring your complexion. If youʼre in need of more extractions, we can assess and discuss.

    • Do not visit a steam room, hot tub, or engage in any vigorous physical activity until the following day, as heat and sweat can cause irritation, breakouts, broken capillaries, redness and inflammation to your freshly exfoliated skin.

    • But Most importantly, DO wear your mineral based sunblock! It is best to have this as your default mode during the day, no matter the season. But especially after receiving a facial, your skin’s surface will be in a more vulnerable state. Such sun exposure leaves you more susceptible to sun burn, dark spots and other damages to your new skin layer, which can also cause fine lines and wrinkles.

  • My services focus on deep cleaning, health promoting, and therapeutic modalities. I do not provide make-up application services.

You are welcome to bring your own make-up to apply after your service.

  • If possible, please do not shave at least 24 hours in advance, nor use topical medications or any acid-based products 48 hours before the facial (consult with your dermatologist for concerns).

Stubble is ok! Have a beard? Thatʼs ok, too! I can still focus on the other exposed areas of the face that need attention.

After your treatment, I recommend waiting another 24 hours before you resume shaving, depending on how your skin feels, because it is prone to cause irritation, sensitivity, and possibly ingrown hairs around the area.

And last but not least, please wear your mineral based sunblock!

  • Yes, but they must have a parent or guardian present to co-sign their Consultation Form.

  • LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy is a type of technology utilizing low level light energy through a process called photobiomodulation. The light enters the body as photons and is absorbed by the photoreceptors within the skin cells, similar to how plants do with sunlight (photosynthesis), which is then converted into energy known as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). As we age, our ATP levels decline, which inhibits cells from functioning at peak performance. Light therapy helps boost our ATP levels which, in turn, is used to carry out normal functions of the cell, including building proteins like collagen and elastin. ATP is vital to homeostasis for cell stability and the facilitation of healing.

Professional-grade devices, such as the LightStim Elipsa, only use proven beneficial wavelengths (colors of light) which are used to target issues like acne, skin rejuvenation, healing and repair, pain relief, to calm inflammation, and to stimulate blood flow.

Elipsa contains a total of 868 LEDs which range from Blue, Amber, Light Red, Dark Red, and Infrared.

Beneficial effects demonstrated in LightStim’s studies include:

    Wrinkle reduction

    Tissue repair

    Psoriasis & Eczema

    Acne and hypertrophic scars

    Burns

    Reduced UV damage

    Vitiligo

This treatment is non-invasive, painless and has zero recovery time; is bio-regenerative; presents both immediate and cumulative results; and offers benefits of sunlight without the damaging effects of UV.

  • According to the LightStim manufacturer, here is their list of precautions:

+ Extreme sensitivity to light - migraines brought on by bright light.

    + Use of photosensitizing drugs.

+ Melasma or hyperpigmentation exacerbated by mild warmth.

+ Do not apply products that should not be exposed to mild warmth prior to treatment.

+ Accutane should be discontinued for 6 months in advance of treatment.

+ Clients who are pregnant must seek approval from a medical professional.

+ Clients with suspicious lesions or skin cancers should consult a medical professional.

+ Clients who are being treated for any type of serious health condition should seek approval from a medical professional before undergoing LED therapy.

  • This non-invasive modality is a popular, natural alternative treatment to any other injections or surgery. Low frequencies of alternating electrical current help simulate a face lift over time, gently stimulating and re-educating the facial muscles, encouraging your natural contour. This treatment helps to tighten, lift, improve skin tone, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. More importantly, microcurrent facial treatments help with lymphatic drainage, increase the levels of protein synthesis and Adenosine triphosphate. ATP is the energy that is crucial to power the cellʼs ability to produce key structural proteins, such as collagen and elastin fibers. Blood circulation is also increased, boosting your natural healing abilities.

  • If you are able to come once a month to receive a facial with this added modality, that is a wonderful start! I offer packages to make it more accessible for you to come more frequently, if desired, based on your skinʼs current condition and future goals. As with exercising your body at the gym, your facial muscles need that same attention. The more you do, the longer your tone will last, and prevent muscle atrophy.

Consistency with cumulative Microcurrent treatments is key to rebuilding and accelerating collagen production thru ATP stimulation, in addition to your at-home skin routine and a healthy lifestyle. Although our bodies never cease producing collagen, it does begin to slow down significantly after our 20s, along with our healing abilities. To support your natural aging process and already-existing collagen, such treatments are greatly beneficial.

  • It is recommended that you Not receive Microcurrent treatments if you:

    • Are pregnant.

    • Have had heart surgery in the past year.

    • Have a pacemaker.

    • Have had a recent facial operation or procedure.

    • All forms of “active” cancer and/or in chemo or radiation treatments.

    • Epilepsy, Diabetes, Heart Condition, Pacemaker.

    • Using Retin-A (* you can still receive microcurrent as long as you don’t apply the night before your treatment).

    • If youʼve had Botox, we would avoid the specific area where it was injected; otherwise please wait until the phase where the effect of Botox is decreasing before re-injections. If you have other concerns, please consult with your doctor to determine if this treatment is right for you.

    • Under the age of 18.

  • High Frequency is a safe, non-invasive technology in which low oscillating electrical currents flow through a glass electrode, creating a beautiful neon light and low buzzing sound as it makes contact with the skin. The light can be violet/blue, or neon red/orange depending on the inert gas with which the electrode is filled.

This treatment pushes enriched oxygen molecules into the skin, which is particularly excellent in accelerating healing, as it kills P. acne-causing bacteria and promotes blood circulation, detoxification, and lymphatic drainage. Those with blemished skin benefit from this treatment, as well as those targeting fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Please be advised of the following:

    1. Headaches and migraines: The loud buzzing sound produced by high-frequency machines can be uncomfortable for individuals experiencing frequent headaches or migraines.

    2. Pregnancy: Direct contact with an electrical current from high-frequency machines is not recommended for expectant mothers.

    3. Pacemakers or history of heart disease: High-frequency treatments may interfere with pacemakers or exacerbate heart conditions.

    4. Seizures from flashing lights, such as epilepsy: High-frequency machines may trigger seizures in individuals with epilepsy due to the flashing lights.

    5. Bacterial and fungal infections: Facial treatments should be avoided if you have bacterial infections like impetigo, boils, conjunctivitis, styes, or fungal infections like ringworm and blepharitis.

    6. Severe acne: High-frequency treatments may not be suitable for individuals with severe acne.

    7. Broken capillaries, spider veins, and rosacea: High-frequency treatments should not be used on these conditions as they may exacerbate them.

    8. Aggressive AHA or glycolic acid products: Avoid using these products with high-frequency facials, especially during winter months, as they can over-dry the skin.

    9. Metal jewelry: Wearing metal jewelry during high-frequency treatments should be avoided to prevent the risk of shock.
